AWS Steps to Success

Orientation

The main purpose of the AWS orientation is to provide hope to those who are serious about changing their lives. We provide specific program/service information and begin building a relationship with each participant.

PHASE I -  
Success Training

At AWS we develop custom success training to cover the emotional, practical, and theoretical aspects of achieving.
 
  • Handling Conflict in the workplace
  • Coping Skills/Wellness Coaching
  • The Value of Self-Confidence
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Stress/Time Management
  • Work Ethics/Etiquette
  • Communication Skills
  • Resume' Development
  • Interviews/Mock Interviews
  • Job Search Skills
 
Outpatient Treatment (If Needed)

Phase II - 
Vocational Education & Training

Each client will receive classes to gain knowledge and skills to increase marketability and work experience.

 

Vocational Education/Training includes the following:

  • Construction

  • Administration

  • Maritime Skills

Phase III: Employment Placement

We understand that employers need a qualified employee that has not just the drive, but the skills to succeed. This is important for getting our clients placed in a job. We communicate with the employer to find out if a participant needs additional training and/or support.

Phase IV - Supportive Services
After employment placement, our services do not stop there! We provide 6 months to a year of supportive services to ensure that the participant succeeds in their job. While employed, participants may need additional help with 'life struggles' so we have case managers that are available as needed.
