OUR APPROACH
Training Starts with Who You Are
Every participant starts the same way: a conversation. Before any training begins, we sit down and look at your experience, your interests, what you're good at, and where you want to go. Some people arrive knowing exactly which trade they want. Others just know they're ready for something steadier. Both are good starting points.
Many of the people we serve are rebuilding after homelessness, incarceration, or addiction — and the program is built for exactly that. Around the training itself, we cover what makes it possible: case management, access to treatment through our behavioral health partner Tután, and direct connections to employers who are hiring right now. Not a program you fit into. A plan that fits you.

Featured Programs
Every track pairs hands-on instruction with the workplace skills that make it count — clear communication, accountability, and the habits employers notice in the first week. Taught by seasoned Alaskan contractors and operators, whether your future is on a jobsite, in an office, or on the water, you'll finish with abilities you can prove and the confidence to use them.
Sharpen what keeps careers on track: communication, time management, conflict resolution, interviewing, and habits of a strong work ethic.
HOW IT WORKS
Process Preview
Four steps carry you from your first conversation with our staff to steady work. Each one builds on the last — planning, preparation, training, then employment — so you always know what you're working on and what it's building toward. There's no guesswork about what comes next and no wondering where you stand. Nothing about your first day on the job feels like a surprise.

03 — Success Training
Develop the confidence, communication, and workplace habits that make new hires worth keeping.

01 — Orientation & Planning
Meet our staff, complete an assessment, and shape a service plan around your goals — not a template.

02 — Vocational Training
Get focused, hands-on instruction in construction, administration, or maritime work.

04 — Employment & Support
Interview, get hired, and keep us in your corner — for months after your first day.
COMMUNITY
Our Partners
Behind every participant who lands a job is a network that made it possible: employers willing to give a first chance, seasoned Alaskan contractors and operators who teach their trades, service agencies that cover the basics, and our behavioral health partner Tután. We work alongside partners across Alaska to open doors for participants — and keep them open.
