Alaska WorkSource ("AWS," "we," "us") is a nonprofit vocational training and workforce development organization located at 12050 Industry Way, Unit 1, Anchorage, AK 99515. Sensitive information
Program participation may involve sensitive information, including information related to justice involvement or behavioral health. Behavioral health services are provided through our partner agency and are governed by separate consent and confidentiality practices, including confidentiality protections that apply to substance use treatment records. Intake, consent, and release forms — completed with staff at orientation — describe those protections in detail. We encourage applicants not to include sensitive health information in website forms or email.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, and we limit access to staff who need it to provide services. No website or email transmission is completely secure, so please use judgment about what you send electronically — anything you'd rather hand over in person, you can.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, to meet funder and legal record-keeping requirements, and then dispose of it securely.

Children
